South Beach is a beautiful place to visit all year long, but those in the know are aware that fall perhaps the best of them all. It is during this season that you can enjoy it the most, especially if you are looking for something a little bit more relaxing and somewhat less wild than what you find during the summer. However, we have a little tip for you if you are visiting during this time of year: bring an umbrella! You are more than likely to get an afternoon shower at least once while you are in South Beach during this time of the year.
October happens to be the best time to visit with family, as it is the Miami Attractions Month. You will find tons of promotions and special discounts all over Miami, and this 2016 is no exception.
Now, one of the most common activities that you simply can’t avoid is a little shopping spree in Lincoln Road. With perfect weather and a great season’s hot beverage in Miami’s most popular open-air shopping mall, it will make a perfect afternoon. There’s over one hundred stores, where you can go window-shopping for a couple of hours, eat at a variety of restaurants or just grab a hot cocoa or coffee at one of the many cafés you can find here.
Want a little bit more of action? You can also enjoy one of the famous Segway tours, where you get to glide all across South Beach and experience all that this tropical paradise has to offer.
Now that the weather is at its finest: not too hot, not too cold, you can take the chance to enjoy a little time outdoors. You can take time and explore the state’s most important natural attraction, Everglades National Park, where you can go hiking, cycling or take an airboat ride, among many other things. Or just take your time and walk about, enjoying the weather and the view. They do have some wildlife shows, where you will be able to see alligators, manatees, Florida panthers, turtles, crocodiles, and bottlenose dolphin.
And, of course, no trip to South Beach is complete without going to the beach. Walking around the shore, taking a swim, sun-bathing, and having a picnic are just some of the many activities you can enjoy at more comfortable temperatures and with less people around you. We do suggest you hit the beach before 4 pm as it is after this time that rain is most probable.
In addition to the attractions you can find all year long in Miami, you can also find a few seasonal and special events you just can’t miss out on:
