Lincoln Road

If you want to take the kids out for a meal but greasy and fast-food chains just won’t cut it, Lincoln Road is a great alternative. Most of the people here choose to eat at the outdoor tables of the restaurants, which will give the kids a chance to people watch and be a little bit louder than they would be allowed to be were they indoors. Besides, you can also take them for a movie, or shopping afterwards in the same road, so you won’t have a hard time getting from one place to another.

Zoo Miami

A great way to entertain the kids and to get them to spend all their energy is the zoo.  Zoo Miami, formerly known as Miami Metro Zoo, has over 800 animals that you and your kids can see, as well as some activities that bring them closer to the animals, such as feeding giraffes or parrots, or even a one-horned Indian rhino! They also have rides, such as the Monorail, which give you a great aerial view of the zoo as well as being a comfortable ride from one area of the zoo to another. The monorail is $3.50 per person for an all-day pass and is open from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays, and on weekends from 10:10 am until 5:00 pm. This narrated tour will give you fascinating information about the zoo’s animal collection, and they are only $5.95 plus tax per person, and they are available from Friday to Sunday with different departure times that leave from the main entrance. And, of course, the unforgettable camel ride! On this ride, your kids can actually ride atop one Dromedary camel in the Children’s Zoo.
