One of the main attractions of South Beach is its nightlife, specifically the many beach clubs it has. It seems like every other block you can find one club or bar, and that every hotel on Ocean Front or Ocean Drive is trying to build a new one. With so many interesting options, how can you decide which are the best beach clubs in South Beach Miami? You only have a few ‘nights out’ to party, and you definitely don’t want to waste them in the wrong club! You might end up in one of the clubs that require waiting to get in, being a VIP, or that are essentially private. Therefore, picking a fun and happening nightclub is an important decision. Don’t’ know where to go? Don’t worry; we are here to help.
Probably the most known club in South Beach- and the only one right on the beach- is Nikki Beach. Nikki Beach combines elements of dining, entertainment, music, fashion, film and art, and has been expanded into a luxury lifestyle brand across the world, with locations including Marbella in Spain, Cabo San Lucas in Mexico and Marrakech in Morocco, among others.
This nightclub is located directly on the beach, on 1 Ocean Drive, is one of South Beach’s most elite clubs and many consider it to be one of the best beach clubs in South Beach Miami. With torches, palm trees, sand under your feet and the say as your roof, it doesn’t get much better than this. The club is open from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, and from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM from Friday to Sunday.
Nikki Beach not only features both an outdoor club and a more intimate indoor space, but it also has a restaurant that opens daily for lunch and all day Sunday, and it has a lounge area complete with beds and hammocks, making it the most comfortable place in town, with experiences during daytime, and all-night parties afterwards! Awesome DJs spin top tunes constantly, and a never ending parade of SoBe’s famously beautiful models ensures that standard going-ons never get stale. How about a bonus you might love? Nikki Beach does not charge a cover except for special events! And to make the experience even more enjoyable you can download the Discotech app to see upcoming events and book tables for Nikki Beach. Find the app here.
Just two insider tips:
- Even though it is a beach, dress to impress when coming for a night out, or you might not get in.
- Reserving a daybed or cabana is a must!
Our second favorite is The Rockwell Miami, the club the King of Miami Nightlife Chris Paciello just opened in South Beach! The week could not start in a better way than with Rockwell Mondays thanks to Resident DJs Iron Lyon and special guest Mr Mauricio dueling on the decks starting around midnight. In Paciello’s own words “Rockwell is bringing something different. We are not another megaclub. We are not DJ driven, we are focusing on the experience”. However, even though Rockwell has a focus on hospitality, Rockwell will offer a mixed musical format and feature live performances as well, hoping to broaden the club’s focus to the quality of the venue, the energy and the atmosphere of the space, instead of having the success of any given evening determined solely by the DJ booked to perform, giving the club-goers a truly unique entertainment option. Here you can find the prices and make reservations for the events at Rockwell Miami. It is located at 743 Washington Avenue on South Beach.
While these are our two main recommendations, there are many other great clubs you may want to stop by. Among them are two classic clubs to be found on Ocean Drive, The Clevelander and Mangos Tropical Cafe, and other new venues to consider in South Beach are Treehouse and Trade.
